Why Creating Wedding Photo Books is Ideal

Posted by Andrew Wilson on June 7 2017.

In an age where nearly everything is digital and automated like buying clothes or paying bills, even modern photography has been struck with the latest innovative technology. People love to take interesting photos of picturesque landscapes, unforgettable events, and unique people which they instantly upload on social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other networking sites. However, the photos themselves rarely get printed. Instead, they’re simply stored on the hard drive of a computer or eventually burned onto a DVD. Nowadays, this seems practical but doesn’t certainly cant be compared to actually printing out the photos and placing them in physical photo albums. Here are a few key reasons why creating a wedding photo book is a great option and something to be treasured for years to come.

1. Inexpensive

Contrary to what most people think, adding photos and printing them on a book is not a costly project. Many craft stores sell traditional photo books or go online and search for websites that let people design their own.

2. Tangibility

Photo sharing sites may not be around forever – ‘here today and gone tomorrow’. Any site where photos are digitally stored will disappear once that site shuts down and unfortunately, irreplaceable photos will be lost forever. And different from uploading them to albums online, taking a more conventional approach provides a physical, tangible product to touch and hold that will virtually last a lifetime.

3. Creative

Making a wedding photo book is a very creative process and inspires the imagination as much as scrapbooking. Although some sites offer various templates, each page will still need a bit of personalization. Turn it into a fun activity with the kids and let them help design the pages.

4. Fun Pastime

What could be more fun than flipping through each nostalgic page of a classic wedding photo album? Not only is it entertaining and brings back fond memories, it’s a favorable way to bond with the family rather than spending endless hours on a tablet or texting.

5. Gift Idea

Need to buy someone a unique gift that’s really special and meaningful? A wedding photo album is a one of a kind present unlike a plain generic gift.

6. Personalization

Digital photo albums are quite plain and don’t offer much regarding individual personalization. Once the photos are transferred, depending on the particular software, the only thing left to customize is occasionally the layout and the interval time between photos, and that’s about it. However, every aspect of a physical photo book can actually be designed, including starting from scratch.

Life moves fast and it’s not going to wait on anyone. That’s why it’s a good idea to document every vital detail concerning life. Rather than storing priceless photos in a place where no one will ever see them or in a place where they’ll simply gather dust, create a memorable wedding photo book instead.
