Top 4 things a single hen can do on Valentine’s DayPosted by Holly Anderson on June 7 2017.
Every year, come Valentine’s Day we’re always bombarded with imagery of bears and other small furry animals clutching red lace hearts and flowers. Whilst there’s nothing wrong with that (other than the fact that I’ve personally never seen a bear clutch a bouquet of roses), there’s a demographic that always gets left out of the celebrations – singletons.
Naturally this makes sense as Valentine’s Day is traditionally reserved for people who are part of a couple. However, why does that mean that singletons have to hide behind closed doors and sulk over a tub of Ben & Jerry’s and a Ryan Gosling rom com whilst the couples have all the fun? Well I think it’s terribly unfair! So if you find yourself a single lady this Valentine’s Day, here are some fun alternative things you can do with your girlfriends that’ll have you forgetting about your love life (or lack thereof) in no time!
Alternative Valentine’s Day hen party ideas Activities:
And here’s one we made earlier… quite literally in this case because this pre-packaged err… package was developed by an unlucky singleton for other singleton. Appropriately named The HE-TOX Package, this weekend away is set in vibrant Brighton and includes a spa session with your girls, clay pigeon shooting, 2 night’s accommodation and VIP nightclub entry. Think about it, a weekend away celebrating your singleton status with your other single friends sounds a lot better than moping at home drinking your body weight in rosé wine on the 14th of Feb. Valentine’s Day needn’t be all about the man in your life!
Saying that though if you don’t fancy going away you could always just book to go see some comedy. After all, they say laughter is the best medicine. So why not grab some friends and chase the blues away with a night full of laughs and an evening of good company? Pretty much a guaranteed good time if I say so myself!

However if it’s the male aesthetic aspect you are missing about your love life then we may have a solution for you in the form of Hen Party Life Drawing. That’s right ladies: if you haven’t got a hot hunk at home then why not enjoy some eye candy. I’d say take a picture but that kind of defeats the purpose because not only will you be enjoying the view but you will also sketching them as well. Trust us, this activity will have you giggling non-stop.
Finally, if you really can’t (or won’t) resist the temptation of cocktails as a cue for your Valentine’s Day woes then why not make a day out of it? A day of cocktail making that is! So not only will you get to drink your rewards but you’ll also get to learn how to mix cocktails like a pro (that’s if you remember after your 5th mojito…)
