The UK’s Best Glamping SpotsPosted by Rosalyn Hardy on June 7 2017.
In the week that Parklife Festival announced their amazing 2016 line up, here at Polestars we obsessed with all things camping. If you don’t fancy getting muddy in a field with thousands of students all raving it up in glow paint then glamping is a great way of getting away with your nearest and dearest, reconnecting with nature and enjoying some peace and tranquillity all whilst retaining some of those home luxuries!
On that note, we have compiled some of the most amazing glamping locations from around the UK and we have information on our amazingly luxurious glamping hen experience!!
Wriggles Brook Gypsy Wagons
Location: Wye Valley, Wales
Price: £870 per week,
Nestled within a small valley in one of Britain’s most stunning areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Wriggles Brook really does offer a magical glamping experience. You will be provided with your very own, authentic gypsy wagon complete with a cosy double bed and all powered with electricity! The beautiful location offers hot showers, a campfire with utensils so that you can cook your own food and hammocks to lie out in the sun and take in the beautiful scenery. Wriggles Brook also offers some incredible food. They pride themselves on using high quality, locally sourced ingredients and tailor their menus to their guests needs, from a full English breakfast in bed, to a rustic substantial meal in the Vinehouse in the evening. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed and you can pretty much make this holiday your own!
Harvest Moon Treehouses
Location: John Muir Country Park, Scotland
Price: 780-1140 per week, group of 6
Located on the magnificent beach on Lochhouses Farm, east of Edinburgh, Harvest Moon’s luxurious
treehouse accommodation with panoramic views of the sea really does bring the glam to glamping. All treehouses come equipped with wood burning stoves, en suites and hot showers. The Treehouses all have 2 cosy double bedrooms perfect for a small group of hens and a large kitchen and living area. Sipping wine on your 2 metre high veranda looking out over the beautiful coastline, watching the sunset. We can’t think of a more perfect way to spend a weekend away with your best friends!
The Shire House
Location: North Yorkshire
Price: £195 for 2 nights, group of 6
Now we will confess that this place doesn’t really count as glamping per say but we just simply couldn’t resist! This amazing Tolkien inspired, grass roofed hobbit house will have you floating straight into a story book. The picket fences, cottage garden, round doors and regency interior are all faithful to the houses of the shire that we came to know and love in The Lord of the Rings trilogy! Set within the stunning surrounds of the North York Moors National Park and with the house accommodating up to 6 guests, the Shire House is the perfect place for a bride who has already found her ‘one ring’ to bring her hens for a bit of relaxation!
