Newquay is known best for its laid back atmosphere during the day and its wild city living at night. There is plenty to do and you will never be bored. From the high adrenaline rush of Coasteering or Surfing to the laid back fishing trips or walks you can never really go wrong. During the day there are so many activities to check out, if you’re into surfing or water sports then check out Fistral Beach or take a trip to Newquay Harbour to take a fishing trip or go on the Powerboats. Fistral is considered one of the best beaches in Europe and it gets to play host to some high profile events including Relentless Boardmasters! If you’re a beginner or with the family trying to catch their first waves then head over to the smaller beaches of Towan, Western Beach or Tolcarne.

This is around 10 minutes from town but is a really fun way to spend a couple of hours. You could also take a trip along the Newquay Discovery Trail where you will find out plenty about Newquays extensive history whilst walking along the beautiful scenery surrounding the town.

After your daytime activities you will be in the mood for something to eat before a night on the town. Bank Street Grill, situated in the Town Precinct has without doubt the best burgers in the area! Or if you prefer locally sourced, seafood then The New Harbour Restaurant situated in Newquay Harbour itself is a sure winner as the fish on your plate is literally straight from the sea! Make sure you eat well because you will need the energy to tackle Newquays extensive nightlife!

To kick start the night the best place to visit is down to the local strip. It’s in walking distance to most accommodation so you don’t need to worry about taxis and you will find loads of bars in and around it to fulfil all your needs! The local Walkabout is always busy and has great offers on drinks to get you started. If you’re looking for a sophisticated and chilled out atmosphere head on over to the Chy bar it is hen heaven with its specialist cocktail menu, relaxed atmosphere and perfect for those cheeky party games with the locals who are always friendly and up for a laugh! Chy is open until 4am so get yourself a VIP pass and they will make sure you are looked after long into the morning! If you fancy somewhere that plays the best cheesy tunes and popular music then take a trip to Berties. This is great for a dance and a giggle and you will never be disappointed.
