With the Yorkshire Dales just 20 miles away it’s got just enough nature to give you that relaxed, holiday feeling with all the conveniences still on your doorstep. So jump on in with this little guide and make sure you experience the best Leeds has to offer.
Leeds Hen party guide – Shopping
Leeds was known as the go-to market town in medieval times and, to be honest, that hasn’t changed too much today. With over five miles of shopping streets and the brand new Trinity shopping centre it’s a shopaholic’s dream. There’s also plenty of shopping centres and streets to keep even the most determined shopper occupied. Why not browse for a fabulous new party outfit, then show off your new wears in front of the camera in our Hen Party Photoshoot?
Leeds Hen party guide – Eating Out
Truly decadent dining is synonymous with The Mansion in Leeds. Set in a beautiful listed building and boasting local Yorkshire ingredients, their menu is traditional without being boring. Head to Create for modern food with innovative twists like blackberry gel and truffle cream. If you’d rather just have a girly night in then Boxpizza should be your first and only call. A breath of fresh air in the takeaway industry, Boxpizzas are all made my qualified chefs with fresh ingredients and a bargain price tag.
Leeds Hen party guide – Nightlife
Don’t just head down the local, start your night in Leeds off with a bang with a Polestars Cocktail Making Class. You and your friends will receive a private two hour class with your very own cocktail maestro where you will learn to make – and drink – three cocktails each. If the cocktail masterclass has only whet your appetite and more cocktails are needed then MOJO bar is the place to go, particularly if you’re a rock and roll fan. Don’t miss out on their huge sharing bowls of incredibly alcoholic punches; they’re great fun and great tasting too! It would be a shame to end the night there, especially since Leeds was recently voted clubbing capital of the UK. Dance till dawn to some seriously cool DJs at some major clubs such as Mint, Seven, Mission or The Warehouse.
Leeds Hen party guide – Entertainment
The appropriately named Grand Theatre and Opera House is Leeds’ home to west end shows and cutting edge operatic and dance pieces, particularly from Opera North and Northern Ballet. If you’re feeling inspired by any of the great musicals they regularly show then take advantage of a Poestars dance class and learn the moves for yourself. Choose from Dirty Dancing, Grease, Chicago and many more. Then enjoy a two hour private dance class and leave dancing queen’s at the end. For more high octane fun, head to the 50,000 square feet Alea Casino and have a flutter on the dice in ultra-glamorous surroundings.
