Italian hen Party ideasPosted by Hay Brunsdon on October 16, 2013.
For some hens, dancing about like a wild goat fuelled by poorly-proportioned cocktails and a cheap dinner of chicken nuggets and cheesy chips, just isn’t enough when celebrating at their last soiree as a single lady. Whilst I’d be happy darting about beneath the dance floor lights, An Italian hen can offer underground night clubs for sunlit piazzas, harbour-side views and affordable weekends away.
I recently spent a week backpacking around Italy, and whilst moseying through Venice’s labyrinthine lanes, it struck me how much fun this watertight wonder of Europe would be for a an Italian hen weekend away. With Prosecco in the piazzas and mouth-watering cuisine in the moonlit harbour, you’d have thought that this would be an expensive trip, but many budget airlines fly from the UK to Venice, and playing Hen Dares in the alternative setting of a night-train is bound to be a hoot. Anyone for a Gondola bar-crawl?
Planning an Italian Hen party
At Polestars, we’ve planned out an itinerary to take you through some of the hottest hen-spots in Italy.
Florence is blessed with fantastic shopping opportunities and enough bars and nightclubs to satisfy even the most zealous of party animals. However if you’re looking to explore the wealth of Renaissance-style architecture then you’ve come to the right place. Being one of the most picturesque cities in Italy you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to with artistic treasures. The viewing point would be the perfect spot to take part in one our incredibly popular Life Drawing sessions. Grab the nearest Casanova and release some of the artistic energy.
Before returning to fly home from Venice, head to Lake Garda for a relaxing night of affordable luxury. Malcesine is lined with curious cobbled alleys, leading to a stunning harbour which boasts a great selection of eateries and expansive vistas over the lake. Now imagine enjoying bright morning views and a fresh Italian coffee whilst learning the art of tempering, moulding and decorating in our Chocolate Making workshop.
