Glamping, A Break From The CityPosted by Isabelle Hurrell on June 7 2017.
Cast aside your preconceptions of camping (or legitimate camping horror experiences) and open up your mind to the idea of glamping. There will be no nylon tents in this woodland retreat, think more -bell tent with a cosy, shabby chic interior. Decadent throws and fluffy pillows galore. Opt for a glamorous stay-cation in the English Countryside rather than a raucous European weekend away. It could be a brilliant way to spend your hen do with your closest friends and family.
There is a multitude of activities on offer to you and your hens to while away your weekend in style. You will be served an afternoon tea, a yummy selection of sweet and savory treats. You will be taken on a walk guided by the campfire leader where you will forage for seasonal fruits to make wild cocktails. Fruits include elder flower and elderberries, rowanberries and sloe berries, perfect for Bellini cocktails or made into a paste that can be added to cocktails. There is also a sauna, a great way to relax, warm up and liberally apply a face-mask.
One of our particular favourite activities is the campfire baking. Your leader will guide you through baking chocolate orange muffins, where the muffin case is a hollowed out orange, baked on the campfire. As the night draws in you will not be pining for a grimy nightclub when you’re drinking around the camp fire, playing games and having a late night sauna. Some other optional activities include a dance class, a nature walk or making flower crowns.
