Gameshow Hen PartiesPosted by Hay Brunsdon on October 17, 2013.
Upon hearing that Dean Gaffney is back in business after his horrific car smash earlier this month, it got me thinking about which affordable celebrities would make a gameshow hen night even more hilarious.
Gameshow hen parties and celeb bookings
As a 90s baby I get highly over-excited at the prospect of arranging a party themed entirely around cheesy game-shows. Personally I would love a night of adventure in The Crystal Maze, which would provide an excellent opportunity for team building amongst the hens whilst being stalked about by Richard O’Brien (complete with leatherette trousers and his trusty panpipes.) What more could a girl want of an evening?
It would also be interesting if one could hire out the Fun House studio for an evening. Hens could divide into two rival teams and dress up as the twins; Melanie and Martina Grant (gaudy red and yellow pompoms optional,) whilst the Bride-to-be dons a mullet wig in the style of the infamous Pat Sharpe. Ideally you’d grab the Skelter Belter slide down into the ball pit, struggle through the Balloon Tunnel before racing the GoKarts to a well-stocked bar.
My final blast from the past would involve a joint Hen and Stag Party live on Get Your Own Back. You would take turns competing with each other before Dave Benson-Phillips gleefully squeals ‘Crank him/her up,’ before plunging the loser into the ‘Gunk Dunk.’
For those of us who are old enough to remember, and still looking for a gameshow hen party idea have a look at the Its a knock out hen party, where you get to wear the inflatable costumes we all know from TV.
If you picture your hen night involving a lot less mess and gunge you may like to consider something more adult, though equally alternative, that we have to offer. Cheerleading, retro-dance classes or even something seductive…
