As you probably all know by now, we are big hippies in the Polestars office who love anything that is wild or foraged. We also have a taste for alcohol, which is why we think it is fantastic that foraged cocktails are becoming more and more popular across the UK.
Heath often makes his own elder flower cordial which can be mixed with champagne or with spirits to make deliciously fresh cocktails. These always go down a treat with our glamping hen party customers! When its a little too cold for camping (no matter how glamorous it is!) there are dozens of bars and restaurants in London where you can enjoy a wild foraged cocktail.
Urban Foraged cocktails
Inn In the Park, nestled into St James’ Park, overlooking the lake, is a prime destination to try some unusual but extremely delicious foraged cocktails. Drinks appearing on the new cocktail menu are all created by cocktail master Nick Strangeway and include a Hedgerow Punch and Crab-Apple Sour. These cocktails are not to be missed this winter!
The Crooked Well in Camberwell, South London, is also a hot destination for foraged goods. Throughout the summer they have urban foraging days were you can sign up to join in finding some of the best natural ingredients that London has to offer.
The owner of the Green in Clarkenwell east London has created a website called forage London that gives you a chance to get as excited about urban foraging as he is, funnily enough he included some Foraged cocktail recipes. They also offer walks you can see and
Alternatively, you could try some more traditional cocktails at a Polestars cocktail making party where a charming bar tender will lead each member of your group through making and perfecting three delicious cocktails each. This is the perfect start to any big night out on the town!
