Edinburgh is fast becoming one of the most popular hen party destinations. Our Edinburgh hen party guide helps you with a plethora of fantastic activities. Trains from London take between 4 and a half to 5 hours from Kings Cross. Alternatively, for a quicker route travel by air which takes only an hour and twenty minutes, return fares starting from £60.
Scotland’s capital city is a fantastic place to visit for the weekend, it is full of character and charm and offers hens an extensive choice of things to do and see. Getting around is also very straightforward as it’s a compact city and home of an efficient local transport network. As well as a great choice of bars, clubs and eateries there are also so many sites to see. There is no better way to shift a hangover after a heavy night in town than to take a walk along The Crags and, if you dare, all the way up to Arthur’s Seat!
Edinburgh Hen Party Guide – Shopping
Princes Street is the main shopping street, and for designers try George St, where there is also a Browns, a Cafe Andaluz, and a Living Room. Quirky (but expensive) shops can be found in Bruntsfield, again with excellent cafes.
For the most convenient, all-weather shopping experience, head to Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre on Ocean Drive. There are dozens of high street favourites as well as some independent shops. Throughout the year there are many special events going on in Ocean Terminal, including European food and clothes markets. Be sure to check out the website, before you come to see what is going on.
