A Match Made in Hen Heaven: Pole Dancing and the Hen Night

There are some things in life that simply aren’t the same without one another. Imagine Ant without Dec, chips without ketchup, a roast dinner without Yorkshire pudding – so it is with institution of hen weekends and pole dancing.
There exist a number of archaic preconceptions regarding pole dancing and until recently people solely focused on the negative old-fashioned image of the activity. These days many women of all ages and shapes have given pole dancing a whirl and found it to be nothing less than a hilarious, confidence building, physical work out of an activity that is the perfect warm up for the hen night ahead. Hen Heaven has been teaming up with Polestars for many years, sending thousands of women away to learn to pole dance.
It’s gone on to become one of Hen Heaven’s most popular activities when it comes to the Chief Bridesmaid putting together an itinerary for the weekend and the feedback proves what a big hit it is.
Indeed, only today we received correspondence from a hen party group who visited Polestars as part of their Bournemouth hen weekend. Their email read:
“We went to Bournemouth and started off with our pole dancing session which was great fun and we were all very impressed with the amount we learnt in 2 hours, the trainer was excellent and it was a really good experience!”
It’s not uncommon for this pole dancing experience to really take and become a hobby for members of your hen party – it is one of the most fun ways to keep fit – certainly beats pounding away on a running machine any day of the week. Pole dancing is a serious work out for your upper arms, improving core strength and endurance and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with mixing work and pleasure, if you ask us.
