Glasgow is one of the UK’s top tourist spots because of the City’s fine culture, beautiful architecture and amazing array of bars and clubs. There is something to keep every tourist happy in Glasgow. The arts have always been of importance to Glasgow, with hundreds of theatres, galleries and museums dotted around the City’s centre. It is difficult to escape the musical influence on Glasgow when visiting, especially with top venues such as King Tut’s Wah Club. Eating Out
There are hundreds of restaurants to choose from in Glasgow but The Two Fat Ladies at The Buttery (http://www.twofatladiesrestaurant.com/buttery) is by far one of the best. The Butter is one of the oldest surviving eateries in Glasgow and now has an outstanding menu since it has been taken over by The Two Fat Ladies franchise. With a gourmet, yet simple, menu The Buttery is an excellent choice. The restaurant takes large bookings, has and amazing wine list (which is always important) and is very reasonably priced!
Another great restaurant that must be visited is Fanny Trollopes Bistro. Like most must see sites in Glasgow, Fanny Trollopes in steeped in history. The restaurant takes the name of a mislead Brazilian girl who arrived in Glasgow in the 1920s when her and her twin sister flee Brazil to escape arranged marriages. They expected to land in Portugal, however ended up in snowy Scotland. Here they meet their future husbands and wowed Glasgow with their mysterious Brazilian ways. The restaurant tells the full story of Fanny Trollope and her sister Betty, whilst offering some of the best cuisine in Scotland. The menu changes seasonally and to suit what fresh supplies are available to the chefs at any given time!
