Brighton City Guide

Posted by Alec on April 11, 2012.

One of the most popular resorts since the 18th century, Brighton attracts a forever growing energetic crowd, especially at weekends.  Major sights include St. Nicholas’ 11th-century church, the pebbled beach, the amusement arcade on Brighton Pier and the Royal Pavilion. Brighton is full of pubs and clubs, which means you and your hens can enjoy a polestars dance class and head out for a memorable night out! Although you might find that you’re a bit spoilt for choice!

Brighton Pier
Take a trip to the Royal Pavilion, rebuilt in the 19th century by architect John Nash.  This historic gem features a mix of classical and Indian styles.  With beautiful gardens that are just as impressive as the interior of the pavilion, you and the girls can take a walk whilst taking in the breathtaking views of this royal getaway.  Details for visiting the Royal Pavilion can be found at http://www.brighton-hove-rpml.org.uk/RoyalPavilion/Pages/home.aspx. Why not keep to the Eastern theme and take part in one of our polestars Bollywood classes, or even our belly dance class.  For groups that are looking for something with a bit more adventure, you can take a trip to Hove Lagoon (http://www.lagoon.co.uk/), which offers windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, wake boarding, SUP, Power boating, yacht sailing tuition and hire for all abilities!

Relaxation
If you’re looking for something a little more relaxed, try Little Jasmine Therapies, a spa which offer a wide range of beauty and therapy treatments, including Thai Oil massage, Thai Herbal Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Natural Facial Massage, Couples Massage, Waxing, Facials, Deep tissue Massage, Traditional Thai Massage and Thai foot massage.  All details can be found on http://www.little-jasmine.com/, where you can also find offers and packages for this spa!

Shopping
For some shopping head to The Lanes (http://www.visitbrighton.com/site/shopping/the-lanes). Brighton Lanes offer a shopper’s paradise of independent shops and boutiques.  Full of quaint shops, with jewellery and antiques, you’ll happy let yourself get lost in the fabulous maze of twisting alleyways in which they are set.

Eating Out
Why not celebrate your special occasion with dinner at Pomegranate, located in the heart of Kemp Town, a Spanish gem, which boasts great food and friendly staff, creating a brilliant atmosphere. You can visit their website on http://www.eatpomegranates.com/.  Blenio Bistro is set in the city centre and is said to serve delicious food whilst offering good value for money.  More information can be viewed at http://www.bleniobistro.com/food.html.

With so much on offer, you might even decide you need more than a weekend to come to Brighton!  Or maybe just keep it in mind for the next hen do with the girls.  With so many things to get on with in your day, our polestars dance party will give you the chance to keep your energy levels high, and get your dance moves ready for your night out.  All our parties can be viewed on our hen parties page and feel free to give us a call in the office on 020 7274 4865 for more information!
