3 Tips for Glowing SkinPosted by Hannah Carrier on June 7 2017.
Whether it’s you or your best friend who’s getting hitched, there are 3 things that you can do to make sure your skin is on top in time for the wedding day.
Claim your glowing skin by hitting the sheets earlier starting tonight. Your body cells, including your skin cells, undergo major maintenance, repair and rejuvenation while you’re asleep. Avoiding processed foods and eating fresh produce exclusively if only for several days can give your skin the glow you’ve never seen before. If you’re not a fan of eating your five a day, put them in a smoothie instead!
Regularly give yourself a light exfoliation—but ensure that it’s gentle, especially if the wedding is happening in under a week. (Rough exfoliation will increase redness which is something all white-wearing brides will want to avoid!) But the removal of dry skin will reveal fresh glowing skin underneath. Follow up with deep moisturizing treatments such as Bio Claire. If you’re up for some experimenting, this product is available in soaps, creams and oils.
Learn Some Makeup Tricks
Don’t panic over last-minute blemishes! They can be solved with some tricks of the trade. Try using a skin lightening cream under your makeup, particularly in areas that show darker skin patches, including your under eyes. Make sure your face is deeply hydrated with sheer essences and moisturizers to plump it up. Allow moisturisers to be absorbed by the skin before you apply make-up and always use makeup sparingly to get a no-makeup look with a natural glow!
